1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to HashTry, operated by Anton Shugaev (doing business as HASHTRY) ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the HashTry Chrome extension, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

HashTry is a Chrome extension and web application designed to help users track, analyze, and master LeetCode problem-solving through:

  • Automatic tracking of LeetCode submissions and solutions
  • Spaced repetition scheduling for optimal problem review
  • Analytics and progress visualization
  • Structured survey system for self-assessment (11 questions including notes)
  • Problem difficulty tracking and mastery metrics

The Service is provided on a subscription basis with a free trial period. Features and functionality are subject to change at our discretion.

3. Account Registration and Security

3.1 Account Creation

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Maintain the security of your password and account
  • Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach

3.2 Account Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. Subscription and Payment Terms

4.1 Free Trial

New users receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all PRO features. No credit card is required for the trial. After the trial period, you may subscribe to continue using PRO features or continue with read-only access to your existing data.

4.2 Subscription Plans

We offer monthly subscription plans for continued access to PRO features. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Pay the subscription fee specified at the time of purchase
  • Automatic renewal of your subscription at the end of each billing cycle
  • Price changes with 30 days' advance notice

4.3 Payment Processing

Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. You agree to provide accurate and complete payment information. We do not store your full credit card details.

4.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Share your account credentials with others or create accounts on behalf of others without permission
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the Service
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or extract data from the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
  • Violate the intellectual property rights of HashTry or third parties
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without authorization
  • Use the Service to collect or store personal data about other users

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate termination of your account without refund.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1 Our Content

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by HashTry and is protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express permission.

6.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of any code, notes, tags, and other content you submit through the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to use, store, and process Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service.

6.3 LeetCode Content

Problem descriptions and other content from LeetCode remain the property of LeetCode and are used in accordance with LeetCode's terms. We do not claim ownership of LeetCode content displayed through our Service.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

8.1 Service "As Is"

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
  • Warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Service
  • Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free

8.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HASHTRY.IO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
  • Damages resulting from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
  • Damages related to your reliance on the Service

Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8.3 Not Affiliated with LeetCode

HashTry is an independent third-party service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LeetCode. We are not responsible for any changes to LeetCode's platform that may affect the functionality of our Service.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless HashTry, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your use or misuse of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Any content you submit through the Service

10. Termination

10.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support or deleting your account through the Service. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease, and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10.2 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
  • Extended periods of inactivity
  • Any reason at our sole discretion

10.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, all licenses and rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) shall survive.

11. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

11.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be resolved through good faith negotiations. If negotiations fail, disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of the Republic of Georgia.

12. Miscellaneous

12.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and HashTry regarding the Service.

12.2 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

12.3 Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

12.4 Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms at any time without notice.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We will provide notice of material changes via email or through the Service.
